“Walking brings me peace,
Photography gives me purpose and connection.”
Black & white landscape photography inspired by everyday walks across Buckinghamshire,
Chiltern Hills, and beyond.
Welcome to Walking With Pics
I’m based in Buckinghamshire, so most of my walks and photography are centred on Buckinghamshire and the Chiltern Hills, occasionally venturing further afield and reflecting a slower way of seeing the English countryside. The photographs explore rural and village landscapes in black and white — a quiet record of ordinary places, familiar scenes, and moments that change only with the seasons.
This website is a single place to explore my work — photographs, slideshows, and the walks that connect them. It’s designed to be simple, quiet, and ad-free; somewhere to pause and wander through the English landscape at your own pace.
Through my work, I hope to show that you don’t need expensive equipment or far-flung, postcard locations to make meaningful photographs. There’s beauty and peace to be found close to home — in the fields, footpaths, and back lanes we often overlook.
Walking With Pics is about everyday photography by an everyday photographer, encouraging others to explore what’s just beyond their own doorstep.

"I’ve always been drawn to textures that tell a story. This is Lord Boston’s Folly, a Grade II listed sham castle built around 1793. The mix of local flint and weathered brick dressings provides exactly the kind of grit my 2008 Sony A350 thrives on. Captured straight-to-JPEG, the CCD sensor brings out the brooding character of its four castellated towers, turning this decorative 18th-century ornament back into a timeless sentinel over the Hedsor estate."
